Vray Parallel Projection & HDRI?
-
Hi Guys,
Please could someone help?!
I'm trying to render elevations of a building in Vray for Sketchup, I've sorted the parallel projection of the building by setting the field of view to 1degrees..all good, perspective is fine...my issue is with the outputted image.
I'm using HDRI to light my scene which is fine on the perspective images but when I setup the view for parallel projection the hdri is massive and I cant get reflections in my windows etc? any ideas of how to get the desired effect? is it change of settings? I can't find a solution anywhere?
Please help x

This is very interesting and never realized it did this. Might be a bug or it just may be the way the phys cam reacts to such a small FOV.
My 2 quickest fixes would be to either just photoshop the reflections in inside Photoshop or you could make a plane in front of the building with a image you want to reflect but if you do this, you need to create a SketchUp 2-Sided material and have a 100% transparent material on the backside so you can see through it. With a FOV of 1, it will appear in front of your camera.

Thanks for replying!
I found this tutorial some time ago but only just remembered it when you mentioned photoshopping the image.
