Cool kit but, sod mars and other off world jaunts, this would be MUCH better for the weekly shopping trip to tesco/asda et al.

It's done. On to the main vehicle.

Right now it's just a dog. And what do dogs say?
Rough, rough.

I can see this one is going to take about a month as well.

If no one has any major objections or comments, this is the overall shape I'm proceeding with.
In other words, this is the frame I will finish detailing.
(never post hung over
)

Thanks guys, then I will move ahead with this shape.

Update

coming along nicely

Forgive me ,I have not watched carefully the pictures and the model, but i believe the side back panel is not broken like you did. I think it is one plane.
Care to send the model by pm or here if ok and I will try to adjust a bit ? -

Care to send the model by pm or here if ok and I will try to adjust a bit ?The problem is two-fold: Syd's drawings are forced perspectives as I found out doing a photo-match and neither exactly matches the other and the actual clarity of details leaves a lot to be desired. The best I could get from the photo-match was general dimensions.
The second part is the sides are actually warped trapezoids, so the only way SU can complete the surface is to divide it into a polygon. I tried several different ways to manually create the polygons and this was the best compromise I could get as I had the same issue with the front side panels.
It will have to do.

Update.
On Elisei's suggestions, I tried to tweak the rear side panel a little more. I like the new results, but still have the problem of it being a warped trapezoid. However, I do like the improvement. I also had the rear face too small, and enlarging it helped.
Other details added.

-
Much better .
For me , the upper edge and the lower edge look parallel .

-
Thanks again for the heads up Elisei. I was able to find a solution that resolved the warped trapezoid problem and now it looks right.

Various detailing roughed in.

-
No problem ! Nicely done !
-
Updates.
Once again, I am rebuilding some previous things as the proportions become more evident.

-
Speaking of which... proportion adjustments.

Thanks for the help Elisei. It will take me a few days to dissect your model and incorporate it.
Thanks again.
