Fonts between SketchUp and Layout [Win]
-
Hey guys, anyone know why some typefaces that are available in /Windows/Fonts can be used in Layout but not using SketchUp's 3D text? Surely they are accessing the same folder?
-
Nup, no idea....haven't encountered that issue yet.
What font/s are missing ?
-
I thought that SketchUp's 3dText etc needed ttf fonts, while Layout also accepted otf fonts too...
BUT on my Win7 system Tahoma is an otf and that works with both !
Perhaps you have other font formats ? [raster etc]
You can convert between many font-types http://www.freefontconverter.com/Can you confirm the font-type[s] causing these issues ?

Thanks guys, Gotham fonts http://www.typography.com/fonts/gotham/overview/ are what isn't available in SU.

TIG, I'll go have a look in my font folder for ttfs; that may be the issue.
Cheers,

That was it, TIG. When I bought the type family in I only copied over .otf files....
Cheers!!
