I have 400 skp files and need to save a jpg of each one. I was looking for a plugin to open/ close each and save a jpg. It would be nice to adjust the resolution, but screen resolution works.

Do they each have a saved Scene, or would you accept a default view-last camera position. Seems like you would need to go into each file and set this up? Or, what if thumbnail images were adjustable?

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

Really like this idea since it will help you find what model is inside a file without the need of opening SketchUp file.

If I find a way to do this will let you know...cheers!

Why not use XnviewMP? What am I missing?
Saves and shows all SKP & SKB.

I once had something similar setup, whenever a file was opened a plugin would save a large thumbnail with alpha channel into a folder. However it wasn't a batch script (to do all at once).

You would need to iterate through files in a folder and open one after the other using the API method. I assume all the needed API methods are synchronous (otherwise you would need observers).

Plugin would open each skp and save the current view. No scene tabs, just open/ close and save a jpg.

Wouldn't Mystic Thumbs or MooTools 3D Browser do this easier?

Download the free D'oh Book for SketchUp 📖
