Show object length for printing

hi all.. im new to 3d modeling..
how to show the information about object length..(the red circled one in the attached file)
english is not my main language so i dont know what keyword to google..thank you...

If you select just the one edge 'Entity Info' will display its length in current units.
OR if you attach a piece of Text to the edge it will default to show the length...
The 'Dimension' tool adds dimensions - drag off the edge to add the leader/dim...
