Problems with Google Warehouse
-
Hi,
Recently I started having trouble downloading from Google Warehouse. I used to get the message "Load this directly into your SketchUp model" and accepted it so that the model would load into my active session of Sketchup 8. However, now I have to download the model to my hard drive. I want to continue to load directly into my sketchup model, so I'd like some help in how to reset Sketchup to work as it has been in the past.
I already tried to repair Sketchup and then re-installed Sketchup, but this didn't fix the problem. Any ideas on what I can try to fix this?

Nevermind. I figured it out. Even though I use Google Chrome as my default browser, I recently set my Internet Explorer privacy to high. By resetting it to Medium-High I was able to get Sketchup to ask me to load the Google Warehouse model directly into my Sketchup model.

Irrespective of your day-to-day default-browser, SketchUp always uses the OS's defacto browser when making many of its dialogs [that is IE for PC and Safari for MAC].
Setting that browser's permissions oddly will affect all kinds dialogs - from the 3dWH/EW to plugins using web-dialogs as their GUIs...
So do not be overly restrictive in its 'options'.
For example Javascript must be properly enabled in the options to allow most dialogs to work correctly.
If you experience further issues then you could also look at clearing the IE/Safari cache, and reopening the effected dialog - because old versions of 'html' code etc can get recycled by that browser, instead of the using the latest pages etc...
