Any smokers here? Wanna quit?

my local sweet shop has started stocking them too! i've not seen anyone with anything but an EGO over here, i guess the shops are looking for a quick cheap sale rather than trying to sell benefits of a slightly more expensive product. the vape shops are popping up everywhere over here too, but all seem to be selling same old stuff. I'm just glad it's catching on though!

I think it's all about experience. Experienced vapers will go on-line . When I started vaping, I didn't knew about genesis, mods, mechanical mods, VV, VW,etc. I guess that's why they are called "starter kits".
An as a side note, I just discovered "Cuban Cigar". I'm vaping my ass of, since I bought it. It is 75 PG 25 VG. The brand is LiQua.
Oli, I can buy Vivi Nova's with 6.7 euro, -
So I've been on board for about a month now it seems no smokes .
But the only local shop carried the Blu e cig and I'm ready to get more serious about this and would like some suggestions for an up grade maybe $150. range or cheaper if I could. I've been following this thread and I don't want to mess around with changing wicks at this point. just one that has the button for the battery and e liquids refills and order in USA along with a web site link. Once again Oli thanks for getting me on to this and everyone else.

Well done no smokes!! Keep it going you'll easily stay smoke free by upgrading your vape.
For that price I would recommend the Kanger EVOD kit, you'll still have plenty of change left over to buy E-liquids.
After a couple of weeks you need to replace the coil in the EVOD, but don't worry they just screw in, 10 second job. It is MUCH more cost effective to do this over buying a whole new unit every time.
I cant recommend any vape shops in USA, but many of them will stock and sell the EVOD. Just google a vape shop near to you, it's a very popular product and easily available.
So make sure you get all these in your kit:
-EVOD atomizer
-EVOD battery x2
-Mains and USB Charger comboIf you only get one battery in the kit, buy a spare one.
You also need to buy some replacement coils. They cost around $1.50 so buy 10 and they will last you around 6 months. When you buy replacement coils you can choose the resistance on the website. If possible order the 1.8ohm version.
Now all you need to buy are some nice E-liquids!! I recommend 18mg if you have already been vaping for a month.
If you need any help, link me to the website you are looking at and I'll help you choose.

I dont know if this is a good website or not, but its US based. I'm just using it as a guide, you may find better prices elsewhere.
EVOD kit...contains 2 complete EVODs which is good for the price.

Replacement coils:

you can change the ohm rating to 1.8 in the "Choose Options" section.
Then just choose your liquids.
Oh and post photos when you get your delivery!

I got me an Evod thanks to Oli's advice.
I now smoke 4-6 cigs a day and dropping.
I've Menthol and Coffee flavours. Tried B&H tobacco and nearly puked.
Enjoying vaping but not yet ready to kick the habit.

yeah seems there is lots of variation in prices over here. some are ยฃ7 some are ยฃ10. And I know you can buy them in bulk for $3 each, so that's around 500% profit!! cheeky! I only ask because I was gonna buy my mother a provari mini and vivi nova for her birthday but may be a bit pricey. There is no way in hell she'd be able to recoil a kayfun. she's happy with her EVOD though so may just buy her some coils and juice.
I buy E-liquid at ยฃ2.60 for 10ml but most places sell it for ยฃ5 or more. Really annoying trying to find a good value shop with a selection of flavours. Everyone is jumping on the vaping bandwagon and charging silly money for the products, like it's some bespoke and trendy item. I would stick with the company I buy from now but their service is appalling, I ordered more juice 2 days ago and still no confirmation email of dispatch or anything. I email the owner and he just goes incommunicado.
I like the blueberry but the first few vapes of the day are a bit "perfumey", then it's nice.
I would like a tobacco flavour but with some sweetness, I may try RY4 or RY3 flavours which appear to be popular sweet tobacco liquids. I'm glad you're enjoying the cuban cigar!
14 weeks smoke free for me!! it works!!

Nice one Rich! We got another onboard!
Take your time, do what you feel is right and there is no rush. You're doing great! Except you haven't posted any vape-porn photos!
What's the coffee flavour like?
I bought some RY4 flavour E-liquid yesterday. Popular flavour.
Not arrived yet but its supposed to be tobacco with hints of vanilla and caramel. It's a 70/30 PG/VG mix....I hope it's quite viscous because this seems to work better in my Kayfun. If the liquid is too thin I don't get good vapour production.
Funny because I don't necessarily enjoy tobacco flavour but recently I've been craving it!

Had a ciggie at 9am this morning and none since. Mainly because I've none in the house and with it being 24degrees out I'm tinkering around the garden in between some modeling work.
Coffee is lush. Kinda mocha taste. Also went with a Green/USA Mix with Menthol. It's like brushing your teeth.
Moved to the 1.8ohm and notice a nicer vape straight away.

Dang, Rich...
I've cut my cigs to 5 a day and for the remaining part I'm vaping...
Just don't feel vaping can be a real substitute - at least not for me... -

When I first tried e-cigs like Blu I also came to that conclusion, two years later this thread started and I decided to give it another go, I guess getting a better product is essential and liquids that have kick and tons of smoke/vapor helped to give me the full smoking sensation. 10 weeks now without a craving, I find vaping more satisfying actually.

Just don't feel vaping can be a real substitute - at least not for me...You say it can't be a real substitute, but you have vastly reduced your cigarette intake!! So keep it going and don't be disheartened, do it in your own time.
As Pete says, depends on your liquid. When you find a keeper it's very difficult to pick up a cigarette.
I think the EGO is still a good starting point for most people as it's cheap and gets you into the vaping scene. Why not try an EVOD atomizer on your EGO battery, Frederik? It's the same connection and the EVOD is a step-up in flavour, consistency and vapour. Only cost around $5-10 and then all you need to get are cheap replacement coils.
Good work Rich, when you get the urge just have a vape and 10 mins later you will forget you ever needed a cigarette.

Got my RY4 flavoured E-liquid delivered today.
Certainly impressed; tobacco base flavour with a caramel undertone. Very very nice! I think I've found a keeper!
It's a 70/30 PG/VG mix which is giving me a good cloud of vapour. Have a good weekend everybody.
-
Ordered some other liquids to sample. I like the RY4 for a change but I can't use it as an all-day flavour, I'm more into the fruity liquids.
Dekang Blueberry = 50/50 PG/VG mix http://www.inspiredvapers.com/dekang-blueberry-797-p.asp
E-Juicy Fruit = 50/50 PG/VG mix http://www.vapistsvapours.co.uk/E-Juicy_Fruit/p1322261_9394474.aspxI'm really looking forward to the Juicy Fruit, it's supposed to be like Wrigley's Juicy Fruit chewing gum. will post a review when I get a delivery.

Got a cherry cola today.....yum
-
nice, are you still on the 18mg?

An interesting twist to mull over. I have it from deep within big tobacco, they already own and are acquiring more of the vape companies every day. In essence they are a nicotine delivery system that they want to control and see no conflict of interest.
-
For every company they acquire 10 more hit the scene so I'm not worrying. There are literally hundreds of emerging companies and dozens of devices, nothing to worry about. I just think the liquids will be taxed that's all and only because they are becoming so popular. I truly believe nobody will smoke tobacco in the future, so they are trying to get their feet under the table now while vaping is in its infancy.
And maybe they should have thought about producing a safe alternative to smoking before they gave millions of people cancer.
-
E-Cigarettes have been on Sky News all day today. Good debate going on.
They are talking about regulating and testing the liquids in 2016. I entirely agree that liquids should be batch tested for the safety of consumers. Government spokesperson said that the testing will not make E-Liquids hard to buy or obtain, they just want to make things consistent between brands.
They still allow benzene, cyanide, potassium nitrate and formaldehyde in cigarettes though, along with thousands of other chemicals.
Anyway, my Juicy Fruit flavour E-Liquid arrived today. WOW WOW WOW!! It tastes and smells EXACTLY like the chewing gum, it's my new favourite flavour as an all-day vape. Really impressed and perfect vapour production.
I totally recommend this to anyone and everyone!! I even left a review on the website it's that good. I bought a 30ml bottle but will be getting the 50ml next time round!
