Any smokers here? Wanna quit?

An interesting twist to mull over. I have it from deep within big tobacco, they already own and are acquiring more of the vape companies every day. In essence they are a nicotine delivery system that they want to control and see no conflict of interest.
-
For every company they acquire 10 more hit the scene so I'm not worrying. There are literally hundreds of emerging companies and dozens of devices, nothing to worry about. I just think the liquids will be taxed that's all and only because they are becoming so popular. I truly believe nobody will smoke tobacco in the future, so they are trying to get their feet under the table now while vaping is in its infancy.
And maybe they should have thought about producing a safe alternative to smoking before they gave millions of people cancer.

E-Cigarettes have been on Sky News all day today. Good debate going on.
They are talking about regulating and testing the liquids in 2016. I entirely agree that liquids should be batch tested for the safety of consumers. Government spokesperson said that the testing will not make E-Liquids hard to buy or obtain, they just want to make things consistent between brands.
They still allow benzene, cyanide, potassium nitrate and formaldehyde in cigarettes though, along with thousands of other chemicals.
Anyway, my Juicy Fruit flavour E-Liquid arrived today. WOW WOW WOW!! It tastes and smells EXACTLY like the chewing gum, it's my new favourite flavour as an all-day vape. Really impressed and perfect vapour production.
I totally recommend this to anyone and everyone!! I even left a review on the website it's that good. I bought a 30ml bottle but will be getting the 50ml next time round!

Things looking grim for vapers in Europe.

It's OK.
Nicotine base liquid is already licensed and approved. PG and VG are not included in the changes, flavourings are not included. So you can buy everything individually, but not premixed unless it's been tested.
So absolutely nothing to stop me from DIY E-Liquid using ingredients I source myself. It really is not difficult and I have a DIY kit coming next week to get started. It's all approved, tested and safe.
The shop I buy from (C9V) already send their liquids away for independent testing so they are already complying with future regulations. The smaller vendors will be affected mostly because some of their profits will have to go into lab testing. Either that or they will increase the price slightly.
We should all get into DIY liquid eventually, it's as easy as making a cuppa tea and much cheaper than buying pre-mixed bottles. I was reluctant at first but it really is easy.

I got a opportunity to order the Kanger EVOD today I've had to revert back to smokes because the Blu e cig really sucks ( play on words there ) Wish it were here now.
-
You'll love it. I even ordered myself a couple for when I'm out and about. Got delivered this morning and I also bought my dad one for Father's Day. Nothing better than getting vape stuff delivered in the mail!
-
Got my EVOD today ordered Friday shipped that day got it Monday USPS Priority free with $ 50.00 order from this place. http://www.ecigbestsave.com/default.asp
$44.95 + 2/ 30mg DeKang deluxe e juice 10.99 per I should have ordered two different flavors Dah but this has a good tobacco flavor and good throat hit 70//30 Pg Vg Man I like this.

you sound like a pro already walt!
good luck and keep vaping!
don't forget the photos!
-
oh ya I like this feel better already
-
Well done Walt, congrats!
Now, buy some more juice because you'll need to change the taste from time to time. Don't forget to drink liquids more often, because vaping will give you a dry mouth feeling.
When you'll be buying new coils , make sure you'll get the 1.8 ohms version, like the ones you have with the original kit!
Good luck! -
So I've been looking for good deals on e juice and found this place. They have e juice base liquids in lots of sizes up to a gallon of base and more flavors I've seen on many sites.
-
Wow a gallon of e liquid!!
I would sample any liquid first before you buy a massive amount. You may get bored of the flavour or mixture quite quickly, try a few different mixes of VG/PG and find what suits you best. I think I've settled on 50/50 for my atomizer.
I can't believe how cheap E-Liquids are in the states!

After reading all these posts ordered one for myself. Can't buy them in shops here so ordered a starter pack from http://www.e-lites.co.uk
Should get it by post in a week
Seemed a good start for me
45 years of smoking, several quits ... did not work...
Now is time to quit
Thanks Oli

Well done Markus!
You will find the E-lites are OK to experience vaping, but they are not the best devices. They don't produce anywhere near as much vapour as the atomizers we have tried and tested in this thread, plus you have to keep buying the cartomizers instead of just buying liquid. Bad value for money over time.
For a beginner setup I highly recommend the EVOD. Quick, cheap and satisfying. The coils are cheap and easy to replace.
For a more advanced setup you need a 22mm mod such as the Provari with a good atomizer such as the Vivi Nova or even a rebuildable one like the Kayfun. This is a more expensive setup but just perfect IMO.
If you are buying from UK based shops I highly recommend Cloud 9 Vaping. The online shop is open 3 days a week at the moment as they are currently expanding their business and will be 24/7 shop again soon. They also have a forum for any questions and advice. They are highly professional and helpful and also send a free toffee with your vaping supplies!!
If you visit the online shop and it's closed just check the opening times.

Thanks Oli
Found the Cloud 9 but it wa offline (as you said)
Bt there was a Finnish site too.... http://www.esmoke.fi
They seem to have a great collection of EVOD models.
I'll get started first with the e-lites, lets see where it takes me
My wife said it was about time !!

You will enjoy e-lites but when you compare to an EVOD or better, there is a huge difference. I don't know anyone who has stayed smoke-free using E-Lites...so when it's time to order some more cartomizers for the E-lites, just go for the EVOD instead. Probably works out same price but over time the EVOD is much cheaper; in fact any atomizer where you add your own liquid is much cheaper. I'm not trying to put you off, just making you aware that if you enjoy the E-lItes you'll THOROUGHLY enjoy a better device and stay smoke-free.
Let us know how you get on! Best of luck, you can do it!
That website looks good. You shouldn't have to import stuff for UK, it's more expensive over here.

Hi guys ,
This is just a wonderful thread.
I smoke 20 light cigarettes a day and seeing all the excitement on digital smoking here, I am jumping on .
Ordered myself a couple of EVOD BCC clearomisers to be fitted on EGO-C twist battery packs.
Basically it's the Sketchup of the e-cigs isn't It ,
Pete is on the 3DsMax of all vapes (Provaria?) so there is a picking order too lol .
As it is not legal to sell nicotine in Australia, I ordered some juice from Hongkong and NZ.It would be so awesome to be able to say that Sketchucation made an end to my cigarette addiction .
Hail guru .A couple of weeks before the mail orders are in and I will be vaping away. Fingers crossed .
Go for it Chris, I am 11 weeks cigarette free as of yesterday. I never gave up smoking, I just gave up smoking cigarettes, vaping is by far more satisfying.
