Transfer of 3d models from max to sketchup
-
how can we use the 3ds models made in max in sketchup...and secondly how can we make the attached image ceiling in sketchup...please help me..

Pro has an importer, but you will probably need to convert max files to 3ds in max ?
To make a 'sliced' form find/install slicer.
Make the form a 'terrain' like surface of a 'box' - so it's a 'solid', then slice it vertically as desired, practice on some simple forms first so you understand the principles... -

where is the problem? just draw each curve separately, build a plane from it and extrude it.

AFAIK 3ds and fbx can still be imported in the free version (only dwg/dxf is limited to Pro).
Maybe fbx would be a better choice in Max (I guess it can export in fbx) as it is a more advanced file format than the archaic 3ds.
