Sun mapping

Hi i was just wondering if you all can help me find a plug in that maps the sun... i found one called Sketchup Sun Position Plugin but ive heard it causes alota issues and since im new to this i dont want to end up losing everything... so can anyone tel me a good free plug in that has the similar function? im an architecture student so i can use it for site work

The 1001-tools had a "modestly priced" sun/shadow tool - do a Google search...
