Export Animation to FBX?

Hello, is it possible to export Animations to FBX?
Thank You

I know of no plugin that could do it (the native fbx exporter cannot) but if it were possible to write such a plugin (which could maybe export animation made by any of the available animation plugins for SU) I'd be willing to pay for it (that is: when I have a little money).
Otherwise I have to learn Blender (which can export animation in fbx)

I could see how proper animation coupled with an .fbx exporter could yield awesome new possibilities for Lumion.

It is very easy to do this type of stuff in blender.
In fact swaying trees in Blender take about 20 clicks including texturing.

No, it means you've wasted years trying to get SU to do everything.
3hrs a week learning blender will quickly make you a intermediate user in 2months if you've already a 3D background.
In fact during the time Sketchup takes to import a 30mb .obj file you'd easily learn a few tricks.

I know I have made animations in Blender (trying to create a water mill with spinning wheel for Lumion) and though I have successfully animated it, it still has some flaws.
Rich tried to help me the other day but then I could not get myself to follow all his tips so I will definitely need to get back to the project.

The problem I have with Blender is a mental block, I tried it 3 years ago and it was the older more messed up version, since then I have had a fear of it, call it blenderphobia.

The newer versions are much better. Take the time to customize it a little in the user prefs and you can get it to act in a more familiar way, like SU. Nonetheless, it will still have a learning curve. I much prefer the newer versions, I've been able to accomplish a lot of work in them that would be painfully difficult in SU and then import that work into an SU project. I still consider myself a Blender beginner though. It's difficult to figure things out sometimes, like many free apps there is limited documentation on how to get it to do what you want and much of the information is for older versions. Very frustrating at times.
