Maps not working for Vray for SketchUP

    I downloaded a bunch of free vismat materials for vray for sketchup from the ASGvis website.

    When I apply them in my scene, any material that contains a bump map doesn't work - it will either render the object as a black silhouette, or disregard the material, and put the default grey/blue Sketchup material back onto the model. I also noticed that the sketchup material I intended to use as a placeholder for the vray material receives a number after it

    ...and other times, it just gives me a vague ASGvis error message and won't let me render in vray again unless I cut and paste my sketchup objects into a fresh scene - as if the file is permanently corrupted, even if I try to get rid of all the textures, HDRIs etc. that may have caused the error.

    example: when I tell vray to place a rusted iron texture on anything "orange," the orange objects become grey again, and the orange color in the sketchup material dialogue box reads "orange [1]"
