SketchUcation Newbie -- Intro & Question

Hi!
Although I've had SketchUp for years, I recently started to earnestly learn how to use the software. Most of my experience with model making has been through Vue Esprit (by e-on software). My motivation to learn SketchUp is to make more complex models (architectural and interior design mostly) that are low poly count and/or smaller file size (better for sharing with other 3D communities). You can expect questions (as any self-respecting newbie should be expected to submit), and I have one already.
I have the latest version of SketchUp, but I'm having trouble uploading models to Trimble. I stumbled on another user's comments regarding uploading and tried his approach, i.e., uninstall SketchUp 8 and then re-install. Well, sorry to say it didn't work. So if any one has some other suggestions I could try, please suggest away.

Hi Rick! When I try to upload models, I get the upload window okay; I enter title, description, etc.; but when I hit the "upload" button, nothing happens. The dialog box is visible, but blank with the "home" and "back button" at the upper left corner. That's it. Thanks for getting back to me. Jo

It may be some Internet Explorer problem (SketchUp uses IE for its web-dialogs like the upload window on Windows system). You can either try to reinstall your IE version or sometimes (just to check if it works), create another user account on your computer and try to upload a file from there.

It works!!! Yeah!!! I switched to a different "user" name (although I'm the only user) and uploaded my model. Thank you very much for your help!!! Jo
