Make a plain shape it must be a solid then apply TIG's Slicer 5 (see plugin index).

thanks!, im guessing the dynamic form made by subdivide tool? here is my try out using x and y to form the similiar structure.

          Thanks all

Not being familiar with how slicer works I was curious about doing this with solid tools. It worked sort of but SU really can't do justice to what you show there. It took almost an hour to perform the solid subtraction for one of these. But really I'm not sure if SU can do a good job of even the basic nurb-like shapes, and in the end can't handle the polys.

                  Hi all

Appreciate all the effort! Im having difficulty to create the join of forms such as the structure to structure like the canopy like a fluidity form

                  Thanks all

i'm not convinced that what we're seeing in this types of structures are generally 'blob' shaped.. or something which is made strictly via proxy and subdivision..

i thnk a lot of the times, we're looking at mathematically driven forms.. and at the root, have a fairly simple -or- at least understandable and describable shape

so you might want to- at least for a general type of practice- try to draw the shape or part of the shape in a more strict manner than relying solely on sub division.

Thanks Gilles for the file, i just want to ask how do you do the joint of each component intersecting, is there a plugin do that?

                        Thanks all

You mean Shell? It's Outer shell, tools/outer shell. In free and pro, works only with solids.
