Selecttool

Good day,
I have a problem when i use the selecttool. When i drag to select something,
the screen changes into a strange pattern.(see attached printscreen).
Can somebody tell me what i can do to solve this ?
I've already removed sketchup pro 8 and reinstalled it again.Many thanks in advance,

Looks like a graphics card issue.
Have you go the latest drivers installed for your graphics-card?
Have you checked your control-panel settings for your graphics-card - e.g. can applications [like SketchUp] decide on how to display?
Have you checked Sketchup's Preferences > OpenGL settings?
Try toggling the various settings on/off in turn to see if any of those improve your display issues...
If so use the best one.
