Is the line on the red axis the same length as the selected group? Looks like it is much shorter. The length of the 'bent' group is inversely proportional to the length of the line to the width of the group.

The relationship of the line to the group will be same as the group to the curve so draw the line along an edge of the group or center it underneath the group.

Nothing is worthless, it can always be used as a bad example.

The line and curve's start-end are transposed, toggle them with the arrow keys...
Also how big is this object ?
Very tiny or enormous things can cause issues...

            Cheers for the responses guys

How did I miss the start-end reversal! That was the problem so not sure how re-installing solved that. All's well that ends well.

He probably redrew the line/arc after the reinstall... and by dumb-luck got them in the right orientation, so no toggle start/end was needed and so it worked...

eh? so how do you make sure they are not reversed? or is that a daft question?

You can't make sure they are not reversed when you are drawing them. That's why I had to incorporate a manual reversing method with the arrows. I'm sure I could make it guess smarter now that I know a little bit more about ruby, but I have not yet done it. The main idea behind the reversing is that typically you want the two starts to be on the same side and the two ends to be on the other side. I prefer to put the "starts" on the "left" side (when you have the solid green line pointing up on the screen).

Good luck with it. Its a great script with a series of, ummm, quirky personality traits πŸ˜„

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

Hi Chris! Absolutely no problems with it now, since I've been matching the start/end positions, its working absolutly fine. The plug-in is great and is saving me a whole load of time/calculations... a great bit of work there Chris πŸ˜„ Many thanks for the response - I fear it was my lack of reading on the plug-in that caused the problem in the first place being the impatient person that I am. Deadlines wait for no man (or woman).
                        All the best, Matt.
