Problem with Sketchup for V-ray (latest version).

I'm very new to V-Ray (downloaded last week). The problem I'm having is that the flooring material shows up sporadically. I've attached a rendering, and if you look at the flooring, some of it shows and the others do not. Most show a solid color. Under the bar is a tile material. It shows under the chairs on the right side and in a rectangle just below. You can also see a little bit of the carpet under the chair in the bottom middle right. Its a pretty "loud" carpet. Black with gold striping.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank You
    Karl

try to check if there are two faces sharing on one plane. check also if the face is negative and it two different materials applied on different sides.

First of all, thank you for the help!

I did have another face below, but it was not in the exact same plane. I checked the material and it is on the front face and nothing on the back side. I ran another render, and the same thing is still happening.

Could it have anything to do with the material itself? Both the carpet and tile materials were made from .jpg images that I made.

I may have realized my error! I did not mention this, but I was using DR spawner (using other computers) to help render. What I believe is my error is that I did not put those .jpg files in the same location as it is on my computer. Still working out kinks in my learning of V-Ray which has impressed me a great deal already. I need to get my material files on the server and path the directory the same to every computer. I'll try to render again and post my findings.

            Thanks again for the help

Yep - DR is the culprit. It has bugs, even in the 1.49.01 release, so I have stayed clear of it. But if you do use it, you have to make sure that Asset Collection is on and to specify a shared folder.

Also, if you will allow me to critique, your lighting needs some work. I would suggest using some rectangular lights for fill and use Exponential Color Mapping.

That was the problem! You absolutely can critique and I appreciate the advice!

Would DR also be the problem with the attached file. My walls have big rectangles of wrong colors at the sides of the opening.
