Nice render - did you modelled this?
I like it, although I've got a problem with recognizing this gray material - it has some parts looking almost shiny, but most of it is mat. I don't know the design and the real chair - do you have some links to real-life images?

Modeling organic stuff like this can be very difficult...Well done!

Actually with the new tools on board , this has become fairly simple !

Pretty nice render Jo-Ke ! I think the texture could have had some benefit with a bump or some more roughness .

Nice render jo-ke πŸ‘ . Although not the kind of chair I would choose for my home (I like big overstuffed comfy-cozy stuff). Don't know about Germany, but here in America it would have to have five legs (or maybe it's ten by now)

A question - what happened in the top corner?

This is a common problem while importing as 3ds:

why don't you try modeling the seam jo-ke?

tube along path and some intersections will do it.

                    Oli, you're right.

                    I colored the seem now.

And closed the holes with "make faces"

Nice. and thanks for the vitra site. How did you color the seams? Were they already polygons?

I think it looks quite plush and confortable.

                            Yes they were already grouped.

I resized the texture for a better appearance

By the way Jo-ke if you bring the model in at a higher scale it often does not corrupt the geometry like you saw. I often bring in .3ds files and then explode scale & regroup.
