Mouse problem

hi im pretty new to sketchup.
I recently installed the newest versoin of sketchup on my mac. when i draw a line it appears 3-4 cm under the place i clicked. this happens with all the tools. is this normal? How do i fix it?
it worked fine on my old version

What mouse drivers etc?What Graphics Card?
What GC settings?
What GC drivers etc?What OpenGL settings in Sketchup?
It is NOT normal - so something is adrift - but not likely to be with Sketchup itself

This is (indeed) most of the times a sign of some graphics card deficiency (like inadequate card, not updated driver) but to be honest, usually happens on PC's as (AFAIK) Macs handle this more automated and drivers are part of the OS more than on Windows.
