That slows sketchup model?

a query. That slows sketchup model?
Use a material with a texture very large?
The application of this material (texture) in many faces?
The application of this material (texture) in many lines?
The application of this material (texture) of many components or groups?
The application of this material (texture) within a component and reusing this component?things like that do slow the model?
If I use a single stroke for the entire model?
If I use many different strokes (eg 3 strokes 32x16, 64x16 3 strokes etc ...) -
"Stroke"?
What slows down a model can be:
- Large textures
- Transparent materials
- Styles (Outline, Extensions etc)
- Edge Colour by Material / Axis
- Outliner open when doing operations
- Shadows

ok, thank you very much.
something more specific?
materiles in the case of large textures. that slows the model?
apply the material once or many times? is the same?
applied to a material within a component? or apply it to a group? and copy many times the group or component? which is better?
apply materials to faces or faces and lines?
apply the material into and out of a group or component and then copy many times the group or component? -
Strokes?
I think you are referring to sketchy line styles. The sketchy lines are png image file laid over the vector lines in the drawing. If you have a large number of stokes in a style, I suppose there is a potential to slow the model down. the benefit to more strokes of each length is more variation in the lines and, if you have a large number of length options, better reproduction of short lines in the drawing.
You shouldn't be modeling with sketch line styles applied, though. Save that for exporting the image. While drawing and when speed is needed, use a standard, non-sketchy line style. Also leave shadows turned off and work in Monochrom style so there are no materials to render.

ok thank you very much. I searched for information about styles and I found something.
I am interested in understanding the functioning and performance of materials and styles.Respect of materials with texture and its application in / out of a group or component, and multiple copies? can someone help me or give me the link of some tutorial?

Maybe this can give a couple of guide lines: http://sketchucation.com/resources/tutorials/37-beginner/139-texturing-a-component-vs-its-faces-inside
Note that it's not from the performance point of view but usability. Once an image material is inside the model, it will add to file size (and eventually saving times) and also to the load of the GPU - no matter how you apply it; on a face or on a group/component. The bigger the material resolution is the bigger the load is (although SU will decrease resolution display to 1024 pixels - or 2048 if "Use maximum texture size" is enabled under Preferences > OpenGL)

Perfect Gaieus.
Thank you very much. Bone that material is loaded only once. No matter how you utilize.
thank you very much
