Cannot move component axis to new face

I know that components should be created with the correct orientation to start with. However, for different reasons this may not alway happen. I'm attaching an skp file that has a door component that is gluing the bottom face (bottom of the door sill) to vertical surfaces. When I try to change the component axis, I can only revolve the blue and green axes around the blue X, I cannot drag the blue X to a new face (behind the door frame)[attachment=0:zda3fmnh]<!-- ia0 -->glues on wrong face.
Is there anyway to fix this component or I do just have to throw it out?

The Component was made standing up - this is OK if it's already on a wall face, because when you create it Sketchup assumes that you want a cutting component etc and adjusts the axes accordingly, otherwise you need to make it lying 'flat' because the component's blue axis [up] will become the wall-face's 'normal'.
To fix this issue...
Because it's currently set to glue/cut on the wrong plane you need to suspend those behaviors while you fix the axes...
Open The Component Browser > Edit the Component, removing its Cutting-behavior and then Changing its Gluing behavior to None.
Now select an instance of the Component and right-click context-menu Change Axes...
Pick a point on the plane that you want the door to insert at - it needs a loop of edges on this plane to cut a hole in any wall it is placed onto. Select the red-axis along the component's normal 'horizontal' and the green-axis along its normal 'vertical' alignment; the blue-axis should now be facing 'out' from the wall when an instance is inserted.
Now go back to the Component Browser > Edit and add back in the behaviors Gluing = Vertical and Cut-opening ON. Now placing a new instance should see it glue to the wall faces as desired.
The original one is 'foobar' as its gluing orientation was messed previously - so erase that and add a replacement. -
Thanks so much for that very clear explanation. It worked exactly as advertised. How to really modify component axes has been a mystery until now.
