Black spots all around white materials
-
Good morning everyone, i have a problem here which i hardly figure out which place went wrong or where should i check it.
i have rendering using a 3D model done by someone else but i m getting this kind of patches around doors and windows.
any idea. -
Possibly hidden artifacts in the original model, that Vray sees?
EDIT: On second thought, maybe that is not the issue. Perhaps you could post an image of the problem?

eh ? i thought i uploaded an attachment. oh filex size is too big
i have uploaded elsewhere, here is it.
i tried to colour around the frame of the window and doors to ensure that even if there's hidden surface or intersected surface then it will still be rendered out white colour. but it seems like that is not the problem. -
I have only one more guess: Duplicate overlapping faces that did not get textured. Well, maybe one more guess: unpainted back faces.
Check the model by changing to default materials, I think. Maybe the reversed faces will show?
Seems I have read about this before, and I am just repeating that. -
I would guess you have a low setting for your GI solution (irradiance map and light cache.) irrmap especially can be tricky, you could try turning on detail enhancement. I don't recall the exact settings, but there are some tutorials on that I believe. (see the sticky post for where to find those.)

guys i think there's a hint already. i hereby overlay my material with one colour only by the option under vray
the black spot still exist where i think it should be problem of irr map or model problem, but if it's irr map, which value is too low or too high that i should look into
-
can you post a screenshot of your irrmap settings?
