Installing plugins

Hi I'm completely new here so I'm expecting to feel an absolute fool for asking this:
I've installed Sketchup Pro 8 as well as Maxwell Render. That's fine.
It was suggested I download and install the Solid Inspector plug in. I downloaded the TT_Lib2 and tt_solid_inspector.rb files but don't know what to do with them. There seems to be no installation file or instructions.
