Hello all. I'm finding that I get an error when rendering in Vray when I have imported an object in either 3ds or collada format. Stranger still, it only occurs with cubed or rectangular objects. Anyone else had this problem/ know a solution?

I echo Andy's request for more info.
On a general note, I generally model with V-Ray unloaded. And load it only when it comes to the stage I need to render. That way I void many of the potential bugs related to materials.

Similar to Thom, I model without materials until I'm ready to start rendering and then slowly build up the texture, test rendering as I go.

Would be good to upload the problem .skp

I meant that I don't even have V-Ray loaded at all. I find it to add too much too SU startup time - and there are bugs when copying geometry between models when VfSU is loaded.
