      I would look at "Bmike" 's work shown on the forums.

      Also Mike Lucey and some others have posted examples of house models where, at the most, only one accent color is used. It's especially fitting for SketchUp styles. To find those, however I would not know, but Mike would--and other mods might be able to think up a link.

      Also if you look at the Dennis Technique (uses photoshop)-- examples of that often use desaturated colors and can work well in grayscale.

          Some of my work, mainly timber framing.

          I have a few house designs too, but I can't share those (yet, hopefully).
          I do a similar process to the small building I show, but use some shadowing where appropriate, as well as a thicker sketch line, in B/W.
