      Hey Sketchupians,
I've got a problem with Shape Bender. I'm trying to put a label on a face cream jar. I select the label group, activate Shape Bender, click the straight line (top edge of label), click the curved line, and the curved label appears in green lines on a red grid. I push RETURN and all the green and red lines disappear. It's as if I pushed a "Kill ShapeBender" button.

The model, an interior of a Pharmacy, is too big to post, but you can download it at http://sharesend.com/tx3gq. Zoom to the shelves in the back corner of the Pharmacy section if it gives you the full extents.

      Thanks
      Tim

        The mystery deepens.

I opened another project and copied the jar and label to it. Went through the same process and it worked perfectly. Copied it back to my original project and dropped it, finished, onto the shelf.

        Cue spooky Theramin music.

The only thing different that I can see is I get a blue grid not a red one, not much help I know 😞

Have you altered the axis of your model? Shape bender relies on the original world axis (along with a lot of voodoo rituals to get it to work).

Lately you've been tan, suspicious for the winter.

The example SKP did indeed have custom axes.
To reset to the model-axes place the cursor over an visible axis line and right-click and use 'reset'.
Then draw the line parallel to the red axis and a unconnected curve, orient the group and make the bend...
