Vismats spazzing out

Hey. I'm no good at rendering by any means, but whenever I handle multiple materials, they seem to be randomly overwriting one another, either that or they just vanish.
Can anyone give me directions here, am I doing something wrong unintentionally?
Oh and I've also got issues erasing some, seeing as they immediately pop back up into the list.

My best advice about vispots is to make sure you have the latest 1.49.01 or you are going to have issues loading vispots that were created in that version and you are using an older release.
