    hi,
    i´ve tried to downloaded some car model from warehouse.
    it was an old ordinary car, but then when i send it into renderer it shows some other parts like building and so on,
    which are hidden in SU.
    can you tell me someone how to recover those hidden object please in SU 8 , so i can delete them ?
    thanks!

      Are they on a layer that is toggled off?

        I can only think of two ways;

        1. turn on hidden geometry under the View menu to see any entities that are hidden. If you also use the Outliner tool (Window menu), you can easily access them this way.
        2. Turn on hidden layers (Window > Layers) and isolate what is on these layers to delete them. You can also choose to delete whole layers (and decide to delete content instead of moving to current/default).

          I do not know for certain, but perhaps it is a combination of nested groups or components on turned-off layers. Based on this guess: Open the warehouse object in its own file perhaps, verify this by Window>Layers, perform the surgery/clean up, and save. Also, check Model Info>Statistics>Purge Unused, Check Validity. Then apply the cleaned component in your model.

            hi guys,
            thanks again for you invaluable help.
            i can´t believe it, it was caused just by a hidden layer. 😍
            glad to have sketchup pros around here.
            cheers!

              I appreciate your accolades, but, just so you know, I consider myself a hobbyist-not a pro, and more like a medium sketchucator, rather than a top sketchucator.

              EDIT: But then, you may not have been talking to me. 💚
