Draw a face normal to a single 3d edge
-
I can't seem to quickly draw a face normal to a single 3d edge somewhat near flat, without spending too much time constructing guides, etc. Is there a plugin or an easy way? Even when constructing guides and the like, if the normal up is close to blue, no can do; I can get the perps to the side.
In this example, I think the loft is screwy reversing because the faces are not normal to the path, though I could be wrong about that. (Fredo Curviloft)

Well, Chris Fullmer has his Perpendicular Face Tools. You could take one of his stock shapes and maybe modify it to your taste after having placed it. I have not tried this, yet. But then, there may be something else out there?

One of Chris's plugins, mentioned by Tim.
With SU's basic tools: re-align the axes, one along the paths first segment. The other two axes then are perpendicular to that segment. Now the circle tool will draw a face perpendicular to the path (orbit to look mostly along that first segment) -
Thanks so much, guys. I will look for Chris' tool but the native way I should remember! Chris' tool looks perfect, Tim.
