Tiny Dog (show your dog)

Pet pix...! How many millions would you like!? Here we have Izzie (Jack Russel/Border Collie - smart, obedient & a complete tart when her Daddy's around) sitting with her 'baby' Olly. In the absence of her own pup she adopted Olly & grooms him vigourously... which he adores! We also have Buddy (Cocker Spaniel - was supposed to be another JR, but I fell for him instead, even though he's the dumbest clown ever. And finally Sam (retriever - crazy young dog who found us too sedate for his lifestyle so moved in with another local labrador. It broke our hearts but was the best thing for him.

Couldn't resist This a great thread.
Here is our beloved "Karamel". She is a two year old Golden Retriever. She is very active and higly intelligent (figured out how to open the door by tugging on the handle by herself ).
She had a boyfriend over a couple of days ago. So hopefully we will have puppies soon.
Karamel's first morning with us:
Karamel now

As promised, here are a couple of images of Pipocas (I think the name comes from a brand of Portuguese popcorn):

This is fantastic! Don't dogs bring out the best in people! While on my walks with Jock, I get to talk with people that I would never otherwise meet and get to know. And Jock also gets to meet new friends also. Its great fun watching the sniffing process!

Mike, My wife was the one that suggested getting a dog, her thinking was that I needed to get out of my chair and get some sun and exercise. Now I cannot imagine life without my dog, he is next to me at all times, from sitting on my lap while I work to riding shotgun whenever I go out on an errand. I have become that crazy dog guy that I laughed at in the past.

When you come to think of it, all dogs are only a step away from the wild.
Eh, a step maybe, but what a step!
We, humans, how many steps away?@unknownuser said:

Did he eat your rooter's cables? Mine did so.

David, yep Pipocas is half Westie and Shih Tzu. He looks like a character! We had a Shih Tzu, Merlin, some years ago, very head strong dog but lively. I hope Pipocas pulls through his problems

The only gnawing that Jock has ever done was to the skirting board corners in the Utility Rm where he sleeps. He is has been good with other things in the house.

Hmm.. Karamel ate our door frame a while back
In her defense though, apparently there was some kind of wood grub or something inside, making this constant ticking noise and eating away the wood. She just couldn't stand it! So she might have actually saved our house from an infestation. -
Wow! Gulcan, Karamel must be strong! Jock's damage in contrast pales

Thanks Mike. Thankfully his medication has started to kick in and he's been tumbling around like a puppy again.
He's got loads of weird habits from his feral days: he tries to dig into rugs as if he was excavating a bed in the dirt. Up until recently he had to share the house with a cat so he mimics cat behaviour in order to get attention. Luckily he hasn't picked up the habit of biting cables - my last cat was always doing that and I've still got conduit pipe covering all my exposed cables.

Yes the little dogs are cute on the internet, and not ruining your house!
Here is my Sister's poodle-aussie puppy Izzi, The Destroyer of Shoes, who stayed with us (note the manic glint in her eye) and our husky Chinook.
and here are our dogs, Tess (mixed husky) and Chinook. They look quiet here but they are about to take off like bats out of hell. -
I Just couldn't resist showing off my 2 blue-merle Aussies!
The 1st is Toby - my intense blue eyed boy who loves playing ball
The 2nd is Indigo - my greedy-guts girl who is always trying to "trick" us into treating her!
-
And here is one of my special boy, Zac.
A more loving dog I have never met which makes his passing a few weeks ago (at 2.5 years) all the more tragic and heart-aching!
May his gentle soul rest in peace!!! -
Dazza, Sorry to hear you lost Zac. Its not a good time when the dog is part of the family.

Thanks, Mike, I appreciate it!
Its still quite raw (been 12 days) and we feel like a limb is missing from our family.
But as they saw: "Its better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all" -
We just started moving into a new house. The interior is all Saltillo tile and I think the dog equates this to rock and thinks he should christen each tile.

I came across these images this morning and thought you guys would appreciate them:

Here is my boy Frank. He loves all things that squeak and is by my side all the time while working from home..
