Intersection problem

On this model can I,...or how do I, stop the edge of the deck being seen as a line on the outside of the hull?
Honestly I can't work out how to stop the edges being seen from the outside.
Thanks,
Andrew

If the hull is a single 'skin' the edges of the decks will inevitably be visible where they intersect it.
If the hull has a real 3d thickness the the decks etc will not 'protrude'.
So first off check that... and also ensure that the deck doesn't penetrate the 3d hull unnecessarily...However, there is a limitation of the graphics processing that can mean that even edges which are somewhat behind a face can be seen 'bleeding' through. It is more noticeable the further you are away because the proportion of the edge/face relative offset gets less. The processing must decide what geometry is in front of what, and then display only what can be seen; so if an edge is near a face and the pixel difference is very small then it sometimes decides to show the edge because it can't decide if it's hidden or not...
Grouping/componenting the hull and deck separately and ensuring a few mm gap between them might also alleviate the problem.

Many Thanks TIG,
You've answered my question. There is no wall thickness for the hull. This was originally a paper model that I originally designed on Autocad, then,... once I discovered Sketchup,... I made a model of it. Download the original paper model at http://jleslie48.com/terrestrialvoyager/terrestrialvoyager.htmPlease, while on a rant,... you.. and many of the others that post regularly, posts have helped people like myself, IMMENSELY...I use Sketchup to draw everything from machine guard design for Contractors..., to packing line layouts for the company I work for..('cause Sketchup is cheap compared to Autocad 3D,... which I would never get a capex for).

Fredo's JointPushPull might be used to give the hull some thickness so the ends of the decks are better masked...
