How would you model this perforated mesh?
-
hi is there any plug in inside of sketchup to help me model something like this? the idea is to perforate the steel mesh based in an image

You could use an imported PNG image with a transparency for the 'holes'.
It's easy to use Photoshop/Gimp to make the image suitable.
However, if you want a wall 'face' with 'real holes' in it, then you could search the Plugins Index for my 'ImageTrimmer' tool.
This takes a PNG image with a transparent 'background' and makes a 'cutout'.
It's normally used for cutting out 2d people and trees etc, BUT it will trim out 'holes' >= 2 pixels across... -
thanks this help me a lot but it really take a lot of time to model i think the first option is the best
