Roadster 2, the Sequel

OK, thereΒ΄s no room there. You nitpicker.

something like a lady with bikini and an umbrella?

Happy New Year!
I like this one better. I like the lines on the side how you have it swooping down. There was something sort of Volvo XC about the last one with the big fenders. My one thought is the front grille might be better integrated, somehow the lines don't quite mesh.

This is a really fine set of images and very good modeling.
I would say, considering that this does not include a render application, you have achieved a great deal here, by suggesting highlights in the work as with the applied images of lights. As you pointed out, maybe for some folks, the body could use a little more subdivision. If you did that, would it mean a complete reassembly of the scene? -
I like it. Reminds me of one of my childhood favorite cartoons as well...

Ok, now we're getting somewhere

Yeah, I know what you mean. That's one of the areas I'm not happy with. I'll work on that, might make it even worse, but I'll work on it. Thanks

Yeah, it's lumpy. Maybe that'll be it's name. I've never been able to use that Subdivide and Smooth, always messes everything up for me. Have to do it manually, one line at a time. But you're right. I won't actually attack that until I'm sure the design is finalized tho, easier to make the changes that way.

Yay, Speed Buggy! Maybe I could replace the grill with that smile, solve two problems at once

Ummm....yeah, I'll get right to work on that.
Thanks for all the input. Remember, I'm a Vulcan, I have no feelings to hurt!

I love it! The body shape is really cool, (I don't see any lumps!), and the wheels look great!
The only criticism I have is the red trim stripe...I would tone done the saturation of the color, it just seems too bright compared to the rest of the materials. Try it out and see what you think.
Really nice model!

Go Speed Buggy!

Thanks. You may be right about the red trim stripe, I'll try toning it down.
Sorta like building a car by remote control, huh -
Impressive as always.
Would like to see monochrome facestyle version

Thank you sir! Here are a couple monochrome shots. Lets you see all the imperfections (well, some of them)
Starting to do some work on the grill
Now I've gotta get into town for some supplies, our first winter storm of the year is starting to hit us, with some really high winds, and for some reason Michigan doesn't seem to know about the use of (or existence of) snow fences.

Back by popular demand
I would really like to criticize your work, but thereΒ΄s almost no room for that here . Should I ever try to model a car, your c&c would be very much appreciated.
i agree with that opinion. that's why the only thing came into my mind about the image, was a hot figure standing and showing the expression of how hot they are
it looks perfect to me

Thanks, but on the road it has a lot of rattles. Tough to track them down.
-
I suggest you save some modeling time and forget the bikini!

Here ya go. Sorry, forgot the umbrella.

Nice work, I like this one much better than the 1st roadster, it has an interesting combination of muscle car and hot rod.

Thanks. I know what you mean, I look at the first one and say "Jeez, what was I thinking". I did like some things about it, the interior was pretty good. But hey, I learned from it, and that's always a good thing.
