Hi Dave,
that looks really clean, are they TIG shadows?
if you PM me a skp, I'll see if I can make an animated gif in SU on my mac using this
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=11872&p=374827#p374831
should be able to do a high quality but small file using that style, I don't like the standard ones...john

Thanks, John.
To answer your question, no, the shadows aren't "TIG shadows." They are just simple shadows exported from SU separate from the lines.
I'm not really looking for an animated GIF of the model. I posted this to see if anyone might be interested in learning how to create their own sketchy line styles. There are so few people here who share their own line styles. Is it because so few people are making them or know how to make them or is it because there's not enough interest in making them. I know for a lot of SketchUp users photo-realistic renders are the end all, be all. Maybe I'm the only one who even cares about making drawings that look more like hand drawn work.

I'd love to know Dave. Style builder is an unused icon on my desktop

I am interested, and I see Corel Painter as a natural compliment to Sketchup for illustrative works -- but IMO the capabilities of Sketchy Edges needs some work to be usable at print resolutions (which is where I would want to use them).
I made some comments to similar effect here: https://plus.google.com/113398955876222975947/posts/5rC7pizKxvs
Best,
Jason.
