Why is it that Sketchup and Google Earth refuse to close down when asked.

I've got a couple of programs on my PC that still show as active processes after I close them but SketchUp and Google Earth have never done that for me.

it happened with me when I have Ram 2 GB but I changed my memories to 4 GB it is hide this problem
