Some time ago I made a number of requests for a modo tutorial on lynda.com and encouraged others on the modo forums to do the same. Finally we got a good basic 7 hr modo tutorial.
I just sent in a request for a V-Ray for SketchUp tutorial. Hopefully others will also send in requests.

Hey, I'm not familiar with lynda.com. I'm just wondering what's the difference from the existing tutorials that are available from ChaosGroup (was asgvis) There are some pretty good ones already that explain the workflow.

lynda.com is a site that offers tutorials for a very wide range of software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) for a fee of $25/month. Their tutorials are somewhat basic but thorough. Generally they run anywhere from 6 hrs to 12 or more. They're well produced and broken down into segments of several minutes each so you can choose to watch the whole tutorial or go right to subjects that you want to know about.
I have looked at the tutorials on chaosgroup and I think they're okay but alternatives never hurt.

I think i agree completely with that, and i am going to send it to Lynda.com.
I would also want to plead with our Guru Thomas Thomassen to give this a thought.(Assuming he has that kind of time on his hands)

I'm afraid that Time is something that I'm in desperate shortage of. I guess regulars around here has noticed that I've been less active in the V-Ray section, which is due to the time it takes to make a good reply. I've barely been able to keep in track with my plugins even lately...
While I appreciate the praise, "guru" I am not. I just know enough to get me by with what I need.
Nomeranda ...or however it's spelled... has been doing some nice tutorials, and he really knows his stuff. Keep an eye on his blog. (will see if I can dig up the link )
