following texture resizer by Aerilius (Thank you) - i finally write this idea i've always been too shy to ask.. ๐Ÿ˜ณ ๐Ÿ˜„

the plugin i have in mind would be able to:

1 - export all the textures to a folder X (this we can already do anyway, so it is optional)
      2 - allow browsing to a folder Y - where i have other textures
3 - swap all the textures of the model, with the others from the folder Y - (textures would just have the same name to make it easy?)

this way we could process the materials, or swap them with higher res ones - before rendering or printing..

what do you think? waste of synapses?

        Hi, CadFather:
I can see nothing wrong with this idea, especially with the justification you present. You change from a low res example texture to a final high res texture in the finished product. Kind of like Fredo6's GhostComp for components in a busy file. There may already be something like this in the Plugins Index. I did not check.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

yes, in fact one could pass them through fotosketcher for example (http://www.fotosketcher.com/)
and finish off with an arty looking model, mixed with our good old sketchy styles (here i imagine google eavesdropping..)
