New to sketchup
-
Jay, I suggest that you share a work of you which you think could be made better or easier and we can advise "on the fly".
-
You can try also in Nurbs domain Moment Of Inspiration,
you will find inside the same pleasure of modeling than SKetchup!
(A free Demo unlimited time but without save is existing ) -
How and where would I do that. I could send a drawing and a photo of the finished project. Also, any advice on how to get to the fredoscale download. I really need the twist tool to get a design out to a finicky client.

You can add attachments below the text area when posting.
The plugin is attached at the bottom of the first port in the Fredoscale topic. Note you will need an additional library, too (linked from that post)

My third drawing. Not great, but it did what I wanted it to do. Make me money. Thanks Gaieus. Looks like I can send only one attachment, So I will send two replies.

This is th finished project.

If you go to...
View > Face Style > Monochrome
You'll see that you've alot of 'Reversed Faces' in that model. Also it would benefit from using 'Components'
Nice username BTW.

Well, there is a (broken) plugin installed on the forums and it seems that you could add more attachments at a time but it does not work. However after "adding" the attachment, you can go on adding more - just one at a time.
Now that finished piece is really great. Rich is right about reversed faces and components. You have some but you could use some more.

Thanks for the complment. Before the end of June 2011 I did not know sketchup existed and did not have time to downlosd it until mid July.
I have gotten better at using componets and groups and layers. It is getting easier. There is just a lot to learn. It is still an amazing program for me, as I can see the things in 3d before I go to the forge and get dirty. -
If you make a lot of this stuff, I think these plugins will be invaluable for you:

already have them. They are great.
