IPhone 4S Announced
-
I have been waiting with my 3G for months, so i will be pre-ordering the 4S as the 5 is too far into the future.
-
I never upgraded to 4 as it was shit. But this is how 4 should've been.
-
That is very true, I think it could revolutionise the smart phone business.

Sad news just in re: the brilliant mind behind the Apple juggernaut....
Steve Jobs lost his fight with Cancer, aged 56.
I'm not an Apple nut like some [do have an iphone & ipad though...] but he was one of the great minds of our time....
-
He set a very high standard and forced the market to try keep up, for that I'm thankful.
-
too right, Pete.
-
I find it - kind of - thought provoking that he dies on the day following the launch of iPhone 4S...
As if he was determined to stay alive and see the launch, but then "giving up" now that the news had been released and the reviews were so disappointed that we did not get an iPhone 5 this time...
May he RIP...! -
Indeed, he worked so hard to take his company to the market leader, and considering the headstart PCs had.
Oh and I pre-ordered my phone today.

I read it somewhere but it does sum up the problem of the iPhone "4s" moniker. The phone is faster, can have more memory, has a better camera, has Siri, Bluetooth 4, full HD video recording, CDMA tri-band, EV-DO and better battery life. The only thing missing is a bigger screen and a slimmer design. Really, with all these improvements if they called it a "5" would people still complain?

About the size of it!
-
I see your point Mr Mayor, and if I had been stupid enough to buy the Iphone 4 and not stick it out with my Iphone 3S. I would feel really silly for buying an Iphone 4S.
5 days to go.

This is an image of a one dollar note apparently taken with the new iPhone 4S.

I think the expression rhymes with "clucking bell"?!

When one comes to think about it. Apple have stealthily been taking a very large chunk of the pocket digital camera market! They have never really pushed the camera aspect of the iPhone just supplied the goodies and have now upped the anti! http://www.tuaw.com/2011/06/21/iphone-4-most-popular-camera-on-flickr/
Reminds me of the story of the antique dealer hearing about a very valuable painting in local house. He concentrated his buying efforts on a mediocre antique chair and offered to pay the asking price which was away over the odds. He then asked that the painting (his real target) be thrown into deal for a few quid as clincher! The owner did so as he was focused on getting the outrageous price for the chair. If the dealer had targeted the painting firstly he would not have got it cheap!
