Lighting trouble from emissive material
-
hi everyone, i have some problem here...would somebody help me...please
i tried to rendering a room with some cave light using emissive material but im not very satisfied with the result. ive upload the picture...see that red rectangle...on the left rectangle, the light is more like a fire, but it have a different result when the wall is white, the light is so smooth. *what must i do to make the light smoother on the wall?either in white or black wall?
on the right rectangle...the render result seem so bad, the picture looks like i drawn it with watercolor...what must i do to make it smoother?thx

maybe the emisive mat is intersecting other geometry.
Are your blacks 100% black and whites 100% white? If so, make it 95% or so
Also the tv looks too bright. If it is emiting, lower its value -
hmmm...sorry..newbie talking.."what do u mean in "black" or "white"? *sorry...
my emissive mat is not intersecting w/ other geometry, but i put it in one group w/other material (is that okay?*i'll try it)
btw, thx karina -
Grouping an element won't avoid intersecting. Make sure that the emitter mesh is not crossing any other surface.
When I talk about black or white that's exactly what I'm talking about. I don't know what software are you using to render, but you have to check that the color assigned to, for example, the wall, is more like a very light gray or beige, and not white (RGB 255,255,255) that does not exist in nature.
Also, depending on the rendering software you are using, you can use a higher preset, or an unbiased.
