I want to know what is the best technique to extend an object, without using scale tool.
Assuming that we have something like the following link. How can I change the length?
Scale tool can't be used because this tool obviously change and corners, and i don't wnat that.

You can select just the parts you want to move 'by fence' - fencing right>left selects all entities that the fence crosses, but left>right selects only the entities wholly within the fence, also ctrl+shift removes things from the selection in case you accidentally select too much, and changing the view so you only 'fence' what's needed are paramount...
So, when you have everything highlighted that needs to be relocated you use the move tool combined with the inference/axis locking tools to relocate those parts to where you want them. Because geometry in the 'same context' sticks together the object will then be stretched - the selected parts will move to their new location, the unselected parts will stay where they are, AND the connecting edges/faces will be stretched to span the gap in between... 🤓

This operation is also known as "stretching" and there is not really native tool for it in SU although as TIG explained, it is quite easy to overcome. Some visual aid for TIG's explanation... (Of course, this only works in the editing context of groups/components, not ON them - but also see the link at the bottom)

Then of course, there is FredoScale, too:

            Thanks!!!
My idea was to create a cross-section model and separate the two objects. Then move it to one of them.
Anyway your ideas are great but for a round object (like a rugby ball), I think the idea of a section would work better.

Look at that plugin I linked last. When it is a simple object, I generally just use the manual method outlined above. However for more complex geometry, FredoScale is a perfect tool. For certain operations (which could not even be made manually - or at least just very hardly) it is extremely powerful, too.
