Disable backup in picasa?

I don't really want Picasa to make backups of every image I tweak. In
fact, I find it rather annoying. I have to manually delete the images in the hidden folder. Is there any way to disable the backup feature? -

It's probably your best bet as this forum is primarily SketchUp. Some here might know but in the mean time you could try the link above

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
