I saw that Vray for Rhino is getting RT. Is this good news that the next plugin for SU will have the same? http://www.flyingarchitecture.com/v-ray-for-rhino-realtime/

Ok, rumor control: Vray for Rhino 2.0 is going to be coming out as a beta very soon. No word on whether this means a SU plug-in beta is also on its way. This is straight from Chaos.

Great news that Vray 4 Rhino is that advanced. Still think that SU itself is the biggest draw back for Vray development.
        But heres hoping 😄

Exaggeration makes a dull story better.

Hmmmm, i cant figure out why chaosgroup is taking so long to announce anything new about vray for sketchup... we can find everyday a new render developed to vray, like irender, rendering, lumen, etc etc, some renders with RT feature and nothing goes out with our vray.

Why this fantastic 3d modeler is kinda lost in chaos labs? will we see a 2.0 to skp? I hope so! Im a huge fan of it, but i must confess im trying some others, like Modo ...

I think the switch over to Chaos caused some... well... chaos and Sigraph probably was something they took a lot of time prepping for. The thing that this plugin has going for it is VRay. For now, VRay is the industry standard rendering engine in arch/viz and that didnt happen by accident. Will something else come along and take the title? Probably not soon. I have looked at Maxwell and other engines out there, but I have not been totally sold. I thought for sure that Maxwell was going to become the next big thing and it's user base is rather small. The video that was posted is proof that they are working hard on a new release and they have stated that when Vray for Rhino is up to par, then all the new updates will be translated to the SU plugin. I have no idea how long that will take. We have to be patient I guess.

we are patient, but the world goes on and new renderers come out everyday. We can see this paying some attention to adwords and publishes here, on SKU.. how many renders are publishing their product here?

I think vray is the best til now and i hope to continue, but they should give us some sights for what will come to us.

Yeah. They need to make VfSU render outside of SU - and better sooner than later, IMHO.
