      Hi all.
Im a newbie here. I have been asked by a friend to draw a house for him in sketchup. I have not used it in ages. I am hoping to make a cut in the wall say for example 1m square and cut that hole thru the house by about 2m. Can this be done. I tried the section command but that cuts the whole geometry.
      Any help would be great.

      Sean

Section-Planes inside groups only cut the groups' geometry - so group some parts. each with an active section-plane and then you'll get complex section-cuts.
Alternatively make a copy of the SKP and actually cut a portion of it away - see Zooro2 and SectionCutFace for more details of this - there are several threads discussing this type of complex section-cuts...........
