I'm looking at various online storage service. I have DropBox, but I don't like that it just syncs one folder. I would like to be able to sync a given set of folders with the online storage.

    This looks somewhat interesting:

    Anyone use it?

Anyone using something else? (Except Dropbox.)

Is Mozy just for BackUp? Not syncing data?

You can schedule so it's kinda sync like.

            A friend just recommended this
            https://spideroak.com/

Never heard of it but he says it's one of the fairest pricewise

Mozy is just backup now, but syncing is in beta testing. From an email dated March 3, 2011:

              @unknownuser said:

We’re pleased to announce the upcoming release of two exciting new Mozy features: mobile apps for iPhone and Android, and a private beta of Mozy file sync. With Mozy file sync you’ll be able to synchronize your files across all your computers automatically. No more emailing a copy to yourself. No more saving to a USB drive.

With the mobile apps you’ll be able to access your backed up files from your iOS (iPhone & iPad) or Android device. Quickly view photo thumbnails and download the full file (high resolution) right to your mobile device. Additionally, you can email any of your backed up files to friends and family.

If you’d like to be considered as a candidate for a private beta of the sync feature, or be first to be notified of the mobile apps, add your name to the list to be considered.

              Be safe,
              The Mozy Team

The mobile apps were just released yesterday, so hopefully syncing is coming soon.

Just came across CrashPlan - thinking I'll give it a go. http://www.crashplan.com/

Using SpiderOak, but I'm not finding it as friendly to use as I want - plus CrashPlan offers to backup to other devices computers etc as well. And prices are better.

                Anyone used it?

I use CrashPlan - great service at a very reasonable price, and nobody (at least a year ago) could back up external drives except CrashPlan. The initial backup took quite a bit of time (based on how much of my existing (ie. YEARS of) files I wanted them to back up) but now it's very unobtrusive and I rarely even notice that it's going on in the background. Haven't had to bring anything back (yet) so I can't comment on restoring.

What I like is that their apps looks clean and simple to use for browsing the backups, as well as the web interface. I find SpiderOaks' cumbersome to use when I need to access odd files when I'm away traveling etc. I want to use the service not only as backup but a way to get remote access to my data.
