ICloud next week
-
I'd imagine more success if it's free. They have to compete with Amazon's S3 thingy.
-
Watching the iCloud demo live. It looks pretty tasty
-
And it's free
-
Meh!
-
Put a contact in your phone it's synced to your ipad and ipod (or Mac if you got one). Write a doc in your mac it on your phone/pad/pod etc.
Read a book on your pad and bookmark a page, its synced to your other devices.
Take a photo on your phone. It's now on your ipad.
that iOS5 looks pretty neat too

Here's the rundown on iOS5
http://lifehacker.com/5809049/ios-5-the-new-features
iTunes via iCloud is a little disappointing though. Only purchased music can be taken from cloud. So those who still like to buy CDs are left out in the cold.
-
iTunes refuses to play my Napster (the original Napster
) downloads.
-
wait.....
iTunes Match @$24.99 a year will scan your library and allow your own ripped collection to be on the cloud
Suppose not bad but I like to rip at 320kbps AAC and this is a little lower.
Well it's all over now. I must say Steve Jobs didn't look or sound well. Kinda sad to see his demise over the last few years.
Still I gotta hand it to Apple they really raise the bar for others to aim for

Hmm
That's already my setup with MobileMe. (all the contact and file syncing etc.) it's super good for keeping track of projects and what not because if someone emails me their phone # for example, it will be on my phone as a contact etc.I haven't had a chance to check out the keynote yet but I'm interested in seeing the new stuff they added
(or maybe it's easier to use now or something? Not that it was difficult before but...)
-
Well it's becoming @me for the mail. There was a live chat thing running next to the stream I watched and people were wondering if the get the $99 back from the MobileMe thing.
I don't use this but they seemed pretty pissed off.
Notifications looked good. Those damn popups are gone thankfully
-
just watched the Keynote,
but just want to gripe that on my iMac, running 10.5.8,
the only options to view the streamed video on the Apple site was either switch to Parallels/Windows or use Chrome... which is what I did
you can't view apple videos on a Safari/Mac unless it's the latest OS
I find that remiss.
like iCloud but hope you can opt out of some bits.
