Strange glass material
-
hi everyone,
i just exported a model from archicad as a 3ds file and imported it into sketchup. when i try to render it, the glass material is rendered in a strange way. i don't know what i've done wrong, but when i check the material editor and preview the material, it's alright. here is post a test rendering so that you'll be able to see what i mean by "strange".
i don't think it's because of archicad export translator. because i rendered another model which was exported the same way and it's rendered as it i expected it to.thanks in advance for your help

Make sure you don't have faces overlapping each other. Kind of looks like z-fighting.
Also, make sure your mesh normals are correct, that it's the front-side of the face that's pointing outwards. -

Set the Style to display Default Material, and set the back-side color to a brightly coloured one so you can easily see the difference between front and back.
By default it's white for front and blue/gray for back.
