      What

A small utility that adds colors to the Materials palette from the colors used by the current Style. Colors include:

      ` BackgroundColor
      	BandColor
      	ConstructionColor
      	FaceBackColor
      	FaceFrontColor
      	FogColor
      	ForegroundColor
      	GroundColor
      	HighlightColor
      	HorizonColor
      	LockedColor
      	SectionActiveColor
      	SectionDefaultCutColor
      	SectionInactiveColor
      	SkyColor`

Colors are named using the Style name followed by the color name: [Default Style].FaceFrontColor

        Hi, Jim:
This tool looks very useful. A couple of questions, if you will. Yes, they may be naive. 😄
Can you define BandColor? All the other terms seem self explanatory.
How well, or does this data export into external renderers? Or, is this something you'd want to do?

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

When you set the aspect ratio of the viewport and you get those shaded areas, which by default is transparent grey.

            What Thom said.

I guess that would depend on the exporter used by the renderer. I think all SketchUp-compatible rendering engines have an exporter that supports SketchUp materials. Does that help?

            Hi

How about colors from the layer palette? I find myself coloring by layer quite often, it would be nice to transfer those to the model data itself. Thanks for the script!

Access to layer colors is very limited [I wrote a way of getting them from a DXF export but it's pretty lame]... AdamB did come up with a 'possible' solution that never got finalized....
