I have done the same procces along the red axis with lines all higher than 1 meter, and the same happens.
-
Could you post a screen shot of your Plugins folder as well as the contents of the folder called clf_shape_bender?
-
Hmm, not sure why the previes is not shoing up. Just try pressing "enter" after you select the line and curve. See if that does anything.
Also, run it with the ruby console open, see if it shows any errors.

The line should be ON the red axis ??

To avoid potential confusion, the line needs to be parallel to the red axis but it does not have to be literally on it.

it's better also to make all the process on the positive quadrant x,y,z in case of

I want to thank you really much Chris, for the Shape Bender plug-in.
It is realy one of the most wanted tools for me! -
i can´t make it work...
it loaded correctly after install but i can´t select the line on the red axis. i guess this is not a new thing but i still can´t find a solution around.
group selected > shape bender > it doesn´t recognized the line... -
After starting shape Bender, does the cursor change to an arrow with a straight line below it?
And is the line outside the group or part of it?

It´s fixed, i am too impacient! The problem was about putting the shape bender folder in the wrong place. I used the whole unzipped folder under the plugins directory...
Thank you Dave (and Chris of course. let´s have some fun -
Ah ha! The old, "installed it wrong" effect.

3q for shareing!

For shape bender and a few other items, I see that you have already received much and well deserved praise and I want to add to that with a HUGE THANK YOU!!!! You have ended the progression of my gray hair. I’m a real novice with all of this and I needed to make a large, long screw bolt that left miffed and mumbling profanities. Your tutorials are excellent as well. It took me a bit to figure out how to actually add a plug-in but it was nothing compared to the frustrations of trying to make a screw. Again thank you very much.

I've been trying to bend a logo for about two days now. Your plugin was the answer.
-
Oh good, glad it worked! Thanks for watching the tutorials or reading the instructions or something so you could figure out how to use it

Hi,
I'm probably the last person who has noticed that it also works with vertical curves.

I have to admit that I did not purposely design it to work with vertical curves like that, but someone else did point it out and it does seem to work pretty well.

Greetings,
I use Sketchup 8.0.4811 on linux via Wine. It is stable and works well.
I put the .rb and related folder in the plug-ins folder and got an error upon starting Sketchup.
Fyi; Just wanted you to know.
