    Have been trying to get a photorealistic look using caustics on vray but cant even get to show the maps on the pool...Is there any tutorial step by step out there, I am kind of a noobie sorry...

    I appreciate the help in advance thanks...

      Chaos group just did a video of this exact question. The video goes kind of fast, I had to pause it a couple of times, but it covers it.

        Yea but still I cant get the effect, not even the map is shown...I am kind of new to this

          Did you download the material? In the zip file is the map.

          or you can just load the vismat and skip the tutorial.

            For some reason the water material I downloaded didnt produce
            caustics.
            So I created my own from the tutorial. I know I havent
            installed the latest Vray. Im not at work otherwise
            Id tell you what it is.

            Anyway once I made the water material from the tutorial it
            worked. Id been trying to get caustics for the last year.

            So double thumbs up on the tutorial ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘
